What have we been up to?
Hey there beta testers,
What have we been up to?
Well, we launched the Addresses API last week, so if you have any feedback, please send it to beta@psma.com.au (please do, we love feedback and can't build a better product with out it!)
This week a few of from the team enjoyed the day in Sydney with the team from Google at the iloveapis event. Was a great day learning more about our API gateway product, Apigee.

Buildings API Beta update
Hi Beta people,
We've pushed out an updated Buildings API, addressing some of the feedback we've received. Here is a list of the changes.
- New Feature - zonings, which returns a high-level generalized zoning for that building.
- New Feature - Address call returns Geoscape release status of that address.
- Improvement - API document now explains how to authorize API calls and use the Includes parameter.

Addresses API is go!!
Hey there beta testers,
Really happy to announce we have pushed the GO button on the Addresses API and it's live and running. Your Buildings API key will give you access, so, no need to create anything new. Check out the docs for more information.
If you haven't got a key, send an email to beta@psma.com.au and we will get it sorted for you.
Cheers

You may have noticed...
Hey there beta testers,
You may have noticed some changes...
We are pushing out some changes to the portal, keen eyes may have already spotted the newest member of our API's, the Addresses API. As part of that, we have been updating our documentation and legal. Unfortunately, it has pulled our docs offline for a bit, so we are working on them and they will be back up shortly.
If you haven't joined the beta, don't stress it's not too late! You can still join now and get access to both our Buildings and Addresses API.
Cheers

All on track! NEW API arriving this week!
Hey there beta testers,
I teased last week that we would push out a new API in beta this week and... it looks like we will be right to get it out tomorrow!
So keep an eye out for that!
We also have some extra stuff being pushed out this week, big thanks to our devs for getting this all done.
NEW API.. coming soon!
Hey there beta testers,
Just wanted to give you all a quick heads up, all going well we should release a new API into the Beta Program next week!
We are pretty excited and once I can tell you more, I will.
Ahhhh, I can't help myself, one more bit of info won't hurt.
It's called Addressing API and it expands from the first two calls we use in the Buildings API
Cheers

Geoscape Release 5 & Developer survey
Hey there developers,
Just a quick note to let you know that Geoscape release 5 has just gone live and will soon filter down to the Buildings API. The major change? Well, the big one is we will now have Melbourne buildings and the total mapped has passed 12 Million!!
Quick reminder to those of you who have received the first the first survey, we would really appreciate your feedback, this helps drive our product direction and in the end, benefits the user of our APIs
You can find the survey here https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QBFJ6H3
Upcoming Buildings API changes
Hey there Beta Testers,
We've been listening to your feedback asking for a way to use the API without having to potentially expose your private API keys with your end users, to that end we're working on implementing Oauth2 into the API. The aim is not to replace the API key but give you a choice in how you authenticate based on your application of the API. That means if the simpler API key works for you it will continue to work, but if you need to protect your API key you'll be able to create temporary tokens for your end users.
Thank you for the feedback
Hi all,
Thank you for all the feedback so far, we are listening, we have our devs looking at what options we can add, so keep an eye out for API updates.
Some of the options suggested include adding a bounding box, industry standard wfs, plugins for 3d environments, area searches within a region and more..
We really appreciate the feedback so keep it coming, it will only help us make the product better!
Cheers

Email Issues
Hi all,
Thanks for your patience as we sorted out the issues with our automatic verification emails. We have implemented Sendgrid today and that seems to have worked. We now have a much larger % of verification emails getting through.
Cheers
